Jon Glaser's Soothing Meditations for the Solitary Dog album review

The making of a record to soothe dog separation anxiety; Jon Glaser, along with several VIP cameo voices, for his dog son Gatsby. Close up and personal with a Midwest bred NYC comic icon.

No spoilers here except that 20% of it is insect ambient sound interspersed with the following: 3 dog barks, 4 duck calls, 1 toilet flush, 1 vintage Klaxon car/bike horn honk, 1 elephant trumpet, 1 turkey gobble, and 1 human cough/hack.

Available everywhere and released through the new, 2022, Pretty Good Friends comedy label, a company co-founded by Eugene Mirman (Gene on “Bob’s Burgers” and Yvgeny on Jon’s “Delocated”) teaming up with historic Sub Pop Records.

5 of 5 stars as Jon is FUNNY and Gatsby is adopted! Listen to it with your dog-for Uncle Jon.

Before the Adult Swim course was held in an auditorium, a smaller class in a teleconference with Jon Glaser of “Delocated.” Jon said he would talk to us for as long as we could keep the ski masks on. This was a great lesson in understanding what it’s like to work in an extreme costume for any length of time. No school funds were used, I, as Dali, purchased the 9’ party sub and ski masks for all, and the students provided their own artwork and skins bar.
